About me

Mahalia Long is a passionate and driven student journalist currently studying at Seneca College, where she has built a strong foundation in storytelling, research, and on-camera reporting. As an intern at 680 News, she is gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom, sharpening her skills in breaking news coverage, audio editing, and delivering concise, impactful stories to the public. Outside of her academic and professional work, Mahalia is the creator of Long StoryShortTV, her own media platform where she produces original content focused on sports, entertainment, and community-driven stories. Through this platform, she combines her love for journalism with her digital creativity, building a space where important stories are told with energy, clarity, and purpose. Her goal is to inform, inspire, and engage audiences by telling stories that matter—whether she’s in the field, behind the mic, or producing for her own brand.
